Everyday Beauty: painting what is right in front of you

Slow down and see your world differently. This workshop invites beginning painters to use watercolor as a tool for noticing and celebrating everyday beauty. Through guided exercises indoors and out, we’ll practice distilling real life into color, texture, and shape impressions. Expect supportive demos, one-on-one feedback, and lots of encouragement to play.

Key Focus:

• Building confidence with color choice and water control

• Developing intuitive observation skills

• Creating dynamic compositions inspired by nature

• Designing a personal field painting kit

• Paint on location in downtown Grenada & Chakchiuma Swamp

Supplies include:

M. Graham & Co. watercolor paint, Canson XL paper, Robert Simmons flat and round synthetic bristle brushes
