Discover the joy of watercolor through the lens of presence and wonder.
This workshop is perfect for those new to painting or returning after a long break. You will be introduced to a simple, portable watercolor setup and explore how to translate what is seen into expressive marks and simple shapes. You'll learn to mix colors using a limited palette of primary colors, simplify complex views, and experiment with water and pigment in playful, accessible ways.
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
Key Focus:
Seeing with fresh eyes through group exercises
Basic color theory (value, hue, temperature)
Painting from photos using simplified shapes (artists demo)
Creating a practice of joyful mark-making & water flow techniques

M. Graham & Co. watercolor paint, Canson XL paper, Robert Simmons flat and round synthetic bristle brushes
